Meet the Dean
Welcome to the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, where we seek to strengthen the bond between UNLV and the community through:
- Our well-rounded programs that encourage "cross-disciplinary knowledge of science and society, a broad range of high-level intellectual and practical skills, intercultural competence, ethical integrity, and the ability to apply learning to real-world problems" (Liberal America's Promise, Association of American Colleges and Universities, 2007).
- Our outreach programs that provide services to the community while also providing you with hands-on training, such as the Center for Individual, Couple and Family Counseling, the Center for Urban Partnerships, Family Project, KUNV-FM 91.5, and UNLV-TV.
- Our support from the Greenspun family, whose values of promoting social justice and sustainable, well-planned urban growth are reflected in everything we do — from our faculty's teaching and research interests to our cutting-edge facilities, including Greenspun Hall.

About Interim Dean Lee Bernick
Interim Dean Lee Bernick holds the Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma. His research and teaching areas of expertise include fiscal administration, executive and legislative roles of government, state government, and human resource management. Prior to being named interim dean in 2008, Professor Bernick served as chair of the Department of Public Administration at UNLV since 2000.
