Department of Communication Studies
The Department of Communication Studies offers programs of study at the undergraduate and graduate levels designed to help students understand and improve all facets of human verbal and nonverbal interaction by improving their knowledge about communication and its uses to achieve individual, group, and societal goals.

The Department of Criminal Justice provides undergraduate and graduate degree programs designed to give students comprehensive understanding of the nature and causes of crime, criminal justice processes, criminal justice organizations and agency practices, and the law and legal system.

School of Environmental and Public Affairs (Formerly Environmental Studies, Public Administration and Public Affairs)
The School of Environmental and Public Affairs conducts interdisciplinary research on and offers degree programs in both environmental studies and public administration. It also oversees the solar and renewable energy programs that are supportive of UNLV’s research agenda.

The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies prepares undergraduate and graduate students to become thoughtful scholars and researchers and effective professionals in broadcast and print journalism, integrated marketing communication, public relations, and media studies.

Marriage and Family Therapy
Marriage and Family Therapy provides quality education in the theory and practice of marriage and family therapy through its undergraduate minor in family studies and graduate degree program that provides students with the essential course work required for licensure as marriage and family therapists in Nevada.

The School of Social Work offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students to practice in a dramatically changing environment with a focus on achieving social and economic justice, overcoming barriers to oppression and poverty, developing a vision to enhance services on behalf of vulnerable populations, and building a strong human services community.

Brookings Public Policy Minor
The UNLV-Brookings Curriculum offers a multidisciplinary curriculum based upon local, national and global themes. UNLV-Brookings courses unite the best teaching and scholarship of UNLV faculty and Brookings experts. This unique collaboration draws upon the diverse faculty and programmatic interests of UNLV to link knowledge, academic inquiry, and practice with the outstanding policy programs of the Brookings Institution.
