Our Mission:
To develop in students an understanding of the governmental, social and economic environment of public service at the national, state, and local levels. The Program will provide an awareness in our students of administrative principles, concepts and issues. The Program's faculty through their teaching, research, and service will contribute the development of professional knowledge and be responsive to community needs. We serve governmental entities, non-profit agencies, and the citizens of Southern Nevada.
News and Announcements:
Beginning Fall 2006, MPA students will be limited to a maximum of three (3) one credit courses toward the MPA degree. Credits earned in the Certificate Program are included in these limits. (MPA students who have completed up to six (6) one credit courses by the end of Summer session 2006 may have them applied to the MPA degree.)
Summer School
Open summer graduate course to all admitted graduate students. PUA 727-001: Theory and Practice of Public Sector Survey Research. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct community based survey research. Theory will be put into practice in this course.
Call #90677. This class meets on the following Mondays from 5:30pm-9pm: 5/14, 5/21, 6/4, 6/11, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23. (There will also be additional field work hours.)
